It's too bad you didn't enjoy the film more, but yeah, Dent really was the White Knight for Gotham, the flip side to the Batman. Nope.</title><link>http://www.drewbeatty.com/?p=200#comment-1108186</link><description>I agree, Drew -- I don't think the filmmakers behind The Dark Knight were interested in making a politically-charged statement about the Bush administration or its phone-sniffing obsession.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;If anything, one of the (very) few things the film did well was showcase how a public servant could make a tangible, positive difference using legitimate and lawful tactics. The Harvey Dent character was a successful D.A. long before he collaborated with the movie's vigilante.</description><dc:creator xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">J.C.
